Construction Trainer

Position Overview

BBOP Center’s Pathways to Prosperity program is a FREE employment training program dedicated to equipping Inland Empire residents with the skills, certifications, and hands-on experience needed to launch careers in construction and related trades. The program serves veterans, justice-involved individuals, young adults out of school or work, and individuals 18+ who meet eligibility requirements — providing paid hands-on training, industry-recognized certifications, career guidance, job placement support, and wraparound services.

We are seeking a seasoned construction professional with a passion for workforce development to serve as an NCCER Certified Instructor. In this role, you will deliver standardized, competency-based construction training to Pathways to Prosperity participants using NCCER’s nationally recognized curricula. The ideal candidate brings deep field experience, a commitment to developing the next generation of construction professionals, and the ability to translate real-world expertise into impactful classroom instruction. Upon certification, the instructor will be authorized to teach NCCER curricula, proctor module tests, and evaluate performance profiles within their approved construction craft area(s).

Note: Candidates with less than 4 years of field experience may qualify to teach Core and lower levels (Level 1 or 2) with a validated resume and appropriate documented experience.
