The BBOP Center will be open for 16 hours per day and encompass 10,000 square feet — made up of 14 offices, 3 conference rooms, a cafeteria, shared workspaces, and a childcare center. Within the Center, you can find a quick-pitch room with venture capitalists negotiating prices, a one-on-one room where deals are being signed in fresh ink, and a legal guidance room where professionals can review contracts, advise participants, and make sure each woman is earning her fair share. Our fund development room will provide information about available grants and opportunities to access capital. With each room having an intentional purpose, the Center will drive forward and accelerate women’s ideas and their potential in every inch of the building.
The BBOP BUILD program is a 12-week hybrid, hands-on, high-access program that is designed to give participating groups access to tools, strategies and support required to build a strong foundation capable for taking innovative ideas to market, grow a business and/or advance a product or service.
The BBOP GROW program is a 12-week hybrid, high-touch, high-access program that is designed to increase the capacity of existing businesses. The curriculum includes providing access to the BBOP Center’s Networking HUB along with industry experts, coaches, professional development, and financial literacy including building business credit and credit repair.
The BBOP SCALE program is a 12-week hybrid, hands-on technical assistance program that provides sophisticated hands-on guidance to apply for SSBCI capital and other governmental programs that support small businesses. Scale is designed to help businesses with equity fundraising, pitching for capital, understanding risk management, insurance, and how to sell a company.
The Black and Brown Opportunities for Profit Center eliminates racial and gender systemic inequity by providing a protected environment where women entrepreneurs have access to what’s needed to build, grow, and scale profitable businesses.
